Canine Freestyle, which has its roots in obedience, is musical performance where the dog and their human execute a sequence of trained behaviors that have been choreographed to music.
Canine freestyle is like no other dog sport; it has an element of creativity and flow that allows the handler to use his or her imagination.
Canine Freestyle is a joyful sport. Both dog and handler will celebrate their bond and enjoy the journey on their way to creating musical routines.
CANINE FREESTYLE LEVEL 1: THE BASICS
Pre-requisites: Obedience Sports Foundation class or instructor approval
In our Canine Freestyle level 1 class, you and your dog will learn precise foundation behaviors and moves needed to choreograph a great musical routine. Throughout the course we will cover heeling on the left, right and front; circle (dog will go around the handler or a prop); spin; go thru legs (leg weave); back up; bow; tricks and more.
(6 weeks, $128 maximum of 5 teams)
CANINE FREESTYLE LEVEL 2: THE DANCE
Pre-requisites: Canine Freestyle level 1 class or instructor approval
